Asma Hussain is an established fashion designer on a national & international level and is respected and awarded for her work in the fashion world. She displayed her first collection in 1994. Since then she has showcased her designs in Dubai, Manchester, New York & Washington DC. Her shows have been a part of FTV, Star World, Discovery Travel & Living, BBC, Zee, ETv, NDTV, Sahara TV, Aaj Tak, Asia News and many more. She’s part of the Fashion Design Council of India – FDCI and has been a part of Will’s India fashion Week & Lakme Fashion Week. She’s renowned for reviving traditional crafts of Awadh & has won several prestigious awards.

Her strength is the innovative use of Chikan, Zardozi, Muqaish & Tukdi work of Lucknow. She uses hand-woven fabrics from Varanasi, the designs of which are also developed by her. She’s known for reviving fabrics like Jamdani, Kimkhwaab & Mashru & specializes in Bridal Trousseau & Haute Couture. Western cuts & innovative silhouettes are her very strong points.

Asma Hussain is not only a Heritage Fashion Designer but also a social activist, involved in various welfare programs in India for training artisans, underprivileged women and girls and minority upliftment.
