Youth Upliftment & Welfare Association- YUWA was established in 1995 as a nonprofit making NGO, and was registered under the Societies Registration Act- UP.

YUWA has been working to upgrade the quality and design inputs of the existing crafts which will be appropriate at mixture of different crafts to produce unique goods with better marketing possibilities. In this regard we have been training and assisting the rural and the other artisans in skill upgradation and helping them to market their produce.

Objectives of YUWA

To work for the development and improvement of youth and to motivate them to become self reliant and self sustainable.
To provide technical and professional education to youth in order to empower and make them self dependant (self sustaining) and create employments.
To provide training in the area of Art, Handicrafts, Culture, Fashion Designing, Textile, Interior Designing & Architecture.
To establish an institute to provide technical training in the area of Art, Craft, Culture, Fashion, Textile, Interior Designing, etc.
To promote and market products of Art, Craft, Culture, Fashion, Interior and Textiles of India.
To organize shows at national and international levels, to promote national integration and unity among youth.
To promote and award various people in the area of Art, Handicraft, Culture, Fashion, Textile, Interior & Architecture.
To design, produce and market everything related to Handicrafts, Art, Fashion, Textile and Interiors and open showrooms, emporiums, production houses, workshops and factories.
To organize and participate in exhibitions, marts, fashion weeks, etc, to achieve the above.
To create films, audio-visual presentations and documentaries.
To publish books and periodicals and create library and museums in the field of Art, Craft, Fashion, Interior, textile and architecture.
To promote communal harmony and national intermigration through cultural and educational events.
To promote and propagate the cultural heritage, handicraft & folk art of Lucknow and Avadh and establish an institute for the purpose.
To empower women and girl child, promote crafts specially done by women, to train & create employment and establish institutes to do so.
To work in research and development, revival and protection of traditional art, craft, heritage, fashion, textile and artisans.
To establish educational institutions and publish books for promotion of national integration and communal harmony among the youth.
